The LDS Philadelphia Temple shines bright in the City of Brotherly Love! I had the pleasure of photographing Simmandi and Kyle's temple sealing on a VERY hot July day! The temps reached the mid 90s and their friends and family stuck it out for the happy couple!
Sandbridge family photography sessions are some of my favorites! I met this family at Little Island Park during their family vacation. It was extremely windy and cloudy but we had some good laughs and they were such troopers!
I met up with this lovely family in Colonial Williamsburg to photograph their extended family session. They were in town celebrating 3 milestone birthdays and together they decided a family photoshoot would be the perfect way to commemorate it!
I know this is old news, but I am just getting around to talking about it because I didn't know how to process it! It was announced in February of 2017 that the Washington DC Temple would be closing for 2 years for extensive renovations. I was shocked. I was sad.
The Washington DC LDS Temple closed for renovations on March 3, 2018. Since it was the last time it would be open for two years, it was a very busy day on temple grounds. I had the opportunity to photograph TWO weddings that day! I have never seen the parking lot as full as it was that day! It was a blustery cold day, but Steven and Janette brought their A game!
Engagement sessions are my absolute favorite! I have such a blast getting to know my couples during this time. It's a chance to get comfortable with each other and gives us the opportunity to talk about the wedding day.
Every season at the Washington DC Temple brings new surprises! Andy and Julie's "Black Friday" wedding, in November, boasted rich colored leaves that made for some pretty amazing photos!
The Sheraton Virginia Beach Oceanfront was the perfect location for Amy and Joe's wedding! They were surrounded by so many loving friends and family members.
They met at James Madison University at a fraternity/sorority mixer. Kaitlin and John were introduced through mutual friends. They were inseparable the whole night! The following day they went up to the mountains together and the rest was history! They dated a few more years throughout college. John graduated from JMU a year earlier than Kaitlin. He began his career in another city while she finished school. Long distance means they would alternate visiting each other every weekend. Their four hour roundtrip drives and accompanying visits made their relationship that much stronger!
