Doing LDS Baptism Photos is one of my favorite types of photoshoots. I love to see these children get all dressed up and be excited for such a big moment in their lives. My own daughter is getting baptized this year and I am so excited about it! Daxton's mom is a good friend of mine and we had a great time walking about the beach together. Enjoy a few photos from his session!

This sweet girl celebrated her 8th birthday by having baptism photos done with me at the beach. She looked stunning in her cream colored maxi dress!
I love when I get to travel to Orange County because that usually means I get to meet up with this beautiful family! They found me years ago on google and I have been with me ever since. How lucky am I?
With baby #3 on the way, this Laguna Beach Maternity Photography Session was an absolute dream. Who knew the sun peeking around the cliffs was so dreamy around sunrise?
You can check out there previous sessions HERE, HERE and HERE ! :)
Isn't this family so darling!? I love to shoot outdoors, so naturally this Virginia Beach Country Family Session was right up my ally! I loved their choice of clothing. The blues and shades of maroon popped with the green foliage and golden sunlight. Here are a few shots from their session.
When Quay and Chance's mother contacted me about doing a brother and sister session at Red Wing Park I was so excited! These two have the most amazing smiles and it was so fun to capture them! I wish I had photos with my brother like this! Here are a few from their session!
These children of mine......it's funny how much you can learn from a child. Today after church, I was reminded of a scripture found in Matthew 22: 36-40 (see reference to the right). How simple are these words...yet so difficult at the same time? I always think of my children when I read these verses because THEY GET IT. They understand how to love deeply and forgive easily. Oh to have the heart of a child! I am so thankful that I get to be their mother and learn from their example everyday. If someone hurts my daughter's feelings, naturally she gets upset. However, a few minutes later she is up and it's like it never happened. I love her example.
If someone hurts you or speaks badly about you, love them anyway. If someone makes you angry or offends you, love them anyway. It is so simple, yet so hard to master. Wouldn't our world be so much better if we could all learn to master this? It's not easy, but I'm trying.
While on our family vacation, I took some pictures of my children in overalls. Why? Well, my dad wears overalls ALL. THE. TIME. and we when I saw kid sized overalls, I just knew I had to buy them some! It was such a fun and spontaneous photoshoot. I will cherish these photos forever because they remind me of my dad. He is such a wonderful Papaw to my children and I am thankful for that everyday.
Little "Ray-Ray" is my second cousin. Her family joined us for our family reunion in Independence, VA. I loved having the opportunity to take some portraits of her. Isn't she just the cutest thing ever? It was so fun to get her in front of the camera and to have her show off that sass! I absolutely love shooting in rustic settings. I would have to say it is one of my favorite places to shoot. There is just something about being outdoors in the country that speaks to my heart! :) Enjoy a few of her pictures.......
